Firm Profile: Joe O. Brewer began his practice in Wilkes County in
1962. He served as County Attorney for over eighteen years while engaging
in a general legal practice. Mr. Brewer served as Councillor to the State
Bar and also in the North Carolina House of Representatives. In 1988,
Gregory J. Brewer joined the firm after serving for two years as Legal
Counsel to the N.C. Division of Aging.
The Firm was originally known as Brewer & Bryan until T. R. Bryan, Sr.
retired in 1977. Attorney Bryan had served as State Senator and had
practiced law in North Carolina since 1936.
